Adam vs. Eve: The Stereotypes of Our Generation
From birth the American culture separates the male gender from that of the female gender. In the bible, God made man first and then women. This preference of the man over the woman set up a cultural ideology that is still in effect today. Man is considered to be the breadwinner who is handy around the house, independent and out of touch with his emotions. A man in a relationship will always be strong, dominant partner. If he is in touch with his emotions and the submissive partner society makes the assumption that he is homosexual. Guys are not considered promiscuous if they have numerous sexual relationships; they are just “sewing their oats”.
