Capital Punishment
In my mind, I don’t know one person who would want Jeffrey Dahmer or Ed Gein alive today. America needs to have the death penalty because if we don’t people like these evil men would still be killing even if it was in jail. We have been debating over this much needed punishment ever since it was declared constitutional in 1976. Over that amount of time there has been thousands and thousands of men and women who have stood trial and been found innocent. Only 314 people, in the twenty-seven years of the death penalty, have been sentenced to death. Now one might say that is a lot of people to be killed against their will, I don’t think it’s enough. Criminals these days think they can get away with murder and in some cases they do.
