Expectations are placed on a woman expecting her to regard pregnancy and giving birth as the most remarkable experience in her life. ... It appears that we are given more ethical leeway since we are a species of more power compared to fish, but when its in regards to the fetus which have the same rights as the fish the ethics are question and it is said that rights are not being acknowledged. ... Abortion was a practice long before its legalization. ... If a woman could not afford to pay for a black market abortion she would sometimes tragically perform it herself. Often the symbol of a coat hanger with a slash through it is used as a symbol of protest to the barbaric acts that occurred while abortion was illegal. ...
It is the ethics of the woman that is the deciding factor in how they feel about whether it is acceptable to or not to terminate a pregnancy. ... Since for the people that are pro-life seem not to oppose abortion in the case of incest or rape so therefore they contradict themselves since they do not consistently oppose abortion. It is difficult to gain valid and subjective information on the topic of abortion. This is because much of the research has been colored by the personal beliefs of the group or individual that collects it. ... A person writing a paper on the tragic effect of abortion on societys moral values may tend to twist the real statistics slightly to better serve his or her purpose. Another doing a paper on the same topic may use the previous one as a reference point and exaggerate the information even more.
