Thomas Hobbes and John Locke were two politically powerful men whose views on what an ideal government should be, differed greatly, even though both have been equally influential in the ideas seen in modern American government. Hobbes and Locke both agreed that even before the creation of God-ordained governments, all individuals were free and equal by natural right. ...
