This is what happened in the case of the Affirmative Action Law that was passed to secure the educational and business opportunity for minority groups from the uses of unconstitutional racial discrimination. The defenders of the law, like Andrea Guerrero, argued about the need for this kind of action, “Whites practice the most segregated living and schooling patterns of all racial groups. ... ” Basically, affirmative action gave one a preference based on race or ethnicity. ... Under affirmative action, in my opinion, two equally qualified candidates will not ever be perceived as equally competent in various areas of education or industry.
Therefore, I for the most part oppose the affirmative action and the benefits it gives to those it targets. ... The initial argument for the affirmative action was the formed because of the fear that cultural and ethnic bias are still in existence.
