She was seventeen years old, a senior in High School. She met someone, she thought she knew him. But the next morning, she realized that she didn’t know him at all. He had raped her. Her life changed completely three weeks later when she realized that she missed her period. Her life was a complete nightmare. She didn’t know what to do or who to turn to. She knew about abortion, but never considered it an option…until that day. Abortion was made legal on January 22, 1973, giving every citizen the right to make their own decision about pregnancy and their body. Abortion must always remain legal to support the constitutional rights and the well being of citizens. Abortion was made legal 30 years ago in the United States by the supreme court decision in Roe vs.
