Potency is that which is capable of something but is not yet while act is that which is already. Act is a perfection a subject possesses. Another way to put it is potency is to act as imperfect is to perfect. Act is a perfection, a completion, something determinate. ...
I could honestly say that I do not put all my potencies into act. I only put some of them into act. ...
