Ecclesiastes is the twenty-fifth book of the Old Testament. The book is divided into two main parts, the author’s investigation of life, chapters one through six, and the author’s conclusions chapter seven through twelve. Ecclesiastes is not a lengthy book with only twelve chapters it is actually quite short. It was developed mainly on the vanities of all things; it focuses on the purpose and value of human life. This book is probably the most damnable book in the Bible, and even so people who have become comfortable living with doubt find it the most satisfying book in the Bible. This book has been said to be cynical, pessimistic, worldly, and just plain heretical. In the beginning the author investigates many topics, he investigates pleasure seeking, wisdom and folly, the fruits of labor, companions and successors, gaining and losing goods, and the limited worth of enjoyment.
