Every Act Counts It’s good to see everyone that came out this morning to worship God in Spirit and in truth: and to remember what Jesus did for us on the cross. ... For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good or whether it be evil. ... Today, we are going to look at how our characters are the accumulation of the decisions that we have made, how our character is either growing in a good direction or a bad direction, and realize that with every action, choice, or thought we are becoming more like God or more like the devil: and with these choices and actions we are influencing those around us. Then we will notice how sobering and encouraging it is to realize that every act does count. ... Who will render to every man according to his deeds: 7. ... Tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile; 10. We will be made aware of and be accountable for each and every act someday. ... No act of kindness, whether in thought or deed, will be overlooked because it is too small. ... Obtain the prayers of the church If you truly repent of your sins (are sorry for them and decide to live differently than you have in the past) God will forgive you of these sins and these acts will never count again-this is the only avenue through which it is possible for every act not to count. ... All of your acts up to this point will never be remembered again and you can start making every act count for good and laying up for yourself treasure in Heaven. ... Repent (or turn from) our past ways (sins) Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the holy ghost. |
