If He SAid Sing, Then Sing

As we prepare this newsletter, the network news is on, and the first sounds of the attack on Iraq can be heard. It is at the very least sobering and potentially frightening. Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld is briefing the Press. The crawl across the bottom of the TV screen tells us that missiles have been launched from US helicopters based near the Iraq/Kuwait border. The ground attack has begun. Iraq has fired missiles at Kuwait. The Bible tells us that as the end of time comes, there will be wars and rumors of wars. This is no rumor. The Bible also warns us that “men’s hearts will fail them for fear.” Sometimes we are overwhelmed by the issues that seem to be pressing in on us.
