Hatred of Jews dates back to ancient times when Jews were persecuted as “different” because they followed their own practices that set them apart. False theories arose suggesting that Jews were a different and inferior race. In addition, a powerful myth was created that accused the Jewish people of conspiring to dominate the world. In the period of the late 19th and early 20th centuries, prejudice flared, especially in Germany, focusing on the Jews as the number one rival responsible for all problems.
