Job
Job was once a rich man in many ways and when evil came upon him and took everything he had. ... In all this Job did not sin or charge God with wrong. ... God tested Job to prove to Satan Job deserved all he had in his fortunate existence. ... In this way I feel as though Job can be seen as a man on trial with God.
First of all, Job’s friends introduced the idea that Job must have done something to deserve this pain that had stricken him. ... ’
These words were only the beginning of that which made Job think about what he was enduring and how it reflected on he as a person under God. ... Just as those friends who questioned Job and made him think about his life and God’s intentions, I am sure that my friends and family as well as those testifying if a trial was involved, would too alter my thoughts on my character and my own intentions under God’s judgement.
The idea that Job was a man on trial makes perfect sense in the battle that he was amidst.
