“War is not the answer”, they say, and many people including myself support the fact. War can be terrifying. It can be devastating and calamitous; a war can leave a scar on your soul forever if you ought to participate in it. A Vietnam Veteran will always remember the hardships sent upon him at the time of war. ... No one can imagine the sting that a war can bring to a family or to a person, but only those who actually experience it. It is for sure, that war can make or break a man, whether it’s a war with a “Rakshasa” or a war with your inner feelings.

As described in the book 100 Years of Solitude, after the civil war, foreign imperialism comes in with devastating effects. ...
Colonel Aureliano Buendia is a perfect example to see the negative effects of war.
