Prayer in School

I agree that prayer should be let back into school because it is important for children of this generation to have a spiritual connection. However, I also disagree because, if Christians push for prayer back in school then other religious groups such as Muslims, Mormons, Wicca, Buddhists, and other groups will want their prayers included. There is some prayer in our schools today, it is not forced upon anyone, but you can pray silently by yourself. We also have after school meetings and clubs that meet to praise God. If Christians push for prayer to be brought back into schools and a prayer is to be said aloud it should refer only to a generic naming of God or the divine creator, so no one is offended. ... กจ The reason prayer was in school to begin with was that the founding fathers tried to make our country free of religious persecution. I think we should have more prayer, but it should be a generalized and inclusive prayer. ... Therefore, we should look to develop an all-inclusive prayer to be used. ...
If one religious group pushes for prayer back into a school, then so should other religious groups be allowed to have their prayer heard.
