INTRODUCTION

Islam is one of the world’s major religion, and is the final link in the Judeo-Christian-Islamic tradition of monotheism. Along with many other religious celebrations, Muslims give importance to Ramadan, the month of fasting and Hajj, an annual pilgrimage to Mecca. Ramadan is the Islamic month during which Muslims fast daily from dawn to sunset as part of an effort towards self-purification and betterment. The festival associated with Ramadan is known as Eid-ul-Fitr, festival of breaking the fast. It occurs after the completion of Ramadan. The other celebration is known as Eid-ul-Adha, festival of sacrifice, which takes place during the time of the Hajj. ...
