Cellular Differentiation
Believe it or not, in theory, a human being can regenerate a finger. This theory is proven through research on plants and made possible through a process called cellular differentiation. ... The information gained from the study of cellular differentiation in plants can be applied not on in amputation studies, but also in other fields of medicine. ... Differentiation is the process of the development of specialized cells like these.
That process of differentiation usually results in one cell changing into an altogether different cell from its parent cells. Differentiation is also a contrast of one specific differentiated state to another differentiated state.
