...
In “A Demon Haunted World,” all but two of the chapters had to deal with current day and past pseudoscientific practices. ... Sagan in his book talks about a loving man whose daughter was sent to a psychoanalyst and suddenly remembers being sexual abused. ...

Science is our key to the world, and our skepticism will lead us to the right door. ... I believe Sagan feels as though the “the baloney detection kit” (which I mentioned earlier) should be used everyday of our lives. ... I think this is exactly what Sagan wanted to be done which is why I understand him stressing science education. Our lives are improved by science and Sagan knew this from the very beginning. ... Science doesn’t make the world go round, but without it we would never even know it spun.
