On November 15th, 2002, I attended the planetarium and the show started at 8.00pm and ended at 10.00pm. The lecturer was a middle aged woman who claimed herself as Janet Planet. She started the show by introducing herself to the crowds and explained how she got the nickname of Janet Planet. Afterwards, she dimmed the lights and put the screen above us exactly at 34 degrees. She explained that this was actually the night with the stars we could have seen if only there were no pollutions in the sky including the pollution I have never heard of, which is light pollution. I can’t remember the topic that came first in the show. I did not use a recorder because I do not have one and I could not take any notes because it was too dark. Furthermore, almost all of the topics she discussed have already been lectured in the class. So, basically the show was only a review for me. I think the show starts at the topic of volcanic eruption. There are 2 types of volcanoes, which are composite (explosive like Mount St. Helens) and shield (Hawaiian volcanoes).
