We were provided with 6 solutions. These were 1. Oil (Lipid) 2. Albumen (Egg protein) 3. Starch (Polysaccharide) 4. Glucose (Monosaccharide) 5. Sucrose (Disaccharide) 6. Vitamin C (Ascorbic acid) Our task was to find out which solution was which by using food tests. Method/Results To find Glucose: (Benedict’s test) I put 2cm³ of each solution into test-tubes. I then added an equal amount of benedict’s solution to each and boiled them.
