Perceps. M,W. 6-8:50 9/14/2003 The experiments performed by Hubel and Wiesel won a Nobel Prize in 1981 for their success in Physiology and Medicine. Their ?focus on describing the responding and organization of neurons in the lateral geniculate nucleus and the visual cortex?(pg.82) was the main source. They performed this experiment on cats and monkeys. They were using spots to determine their data correct or not. In the experiment performed by Hubel and Wiesel they were trying to read how presenting various stimuli to the eyes, of cats and monkeys, would affect the activity in the visual cortex.
