“Matter Attracts All Matter” I was born on Christmas Day in 1642 A great philosopher was born but nobody knew Now listen carefully as I tell my story Of an intelligent man who valued glory I, Isaac Newton, was neither a farmer nor a fool All I did when I was young was go to school I was bad in school and I failed to succeed But, good grades were in mind and I felt the need I entered King’s school where I got smart This was when I began to take part In 1661 I attended Trinity College This was where I gathered my knowledge When a sudden plague had entered my school I had discovered something really cool It all started when an apple hit the ground The theory of gravity was what I found In 1667, I was elected a Fellow of Trinity And, after that I got tons of requests, it seemed like infinity I received my master’s degree the next year I did not know what to do next, but I had no fear I decided to turn to something new To things out far that really flew Stars they were, but they were out of sight So I made the reflecting telescope, and this idea was bright I had a difficult life; I did a lot of stuff But my days working on books were really tough A nervous breakdown had got in the way I was never the same again, some people say Years later I served as Master of the Mint But, my life was going by, as fast as a sprint I had no choice, so in 1705 I had to retire I did what most old men do; sit by the fire Years were going by so fast My days in life weren’t going to last I died on March 20, 1727 of a blocked bladder Folks these days are still getting sadder and sadder |
