In other words, Darwin is sayin that mankind is changing because of evolution whereas for Marx mankind is changing because of of the economic forces and the diference between classes of society. ... However, according to Darwin, animals slowly evolved and started to diferentiate because of the diferent environments they lived in. ... Similarly, in Marx theory, the difference can be drawn between those who own the means of production and those who dont. ... For Marx, all phases of history were the result of the conflict between two dominant classes of society. Similar to Darwins theory of evolution, Marx thought that the base of society was constanltly changing due to changing conditions of society.
As Marx mostly got his knowledge and better understanding of society from Hegel, Darwin got his from the 5 year journey he took on board of H.
