Nathan Beberdick Death and dying Book report November 14 2003 Longing to live… learning to die by Donn Weinholtz, is a self published book by a professor in the college of education, nursing and health professions at the university of Hartford. He has written a few books on teaching in medicine and other health professions. However, this book is more of a personal one. It is an account of how he and his family have coped with a series of multiple deaths due to terminal illness. He lost his grandmother, both parents, a sister, two aunts, and his brothers wife. In the course of the book, Weinholtz touches on quite a few controversial issues in the field of end of life care.
