Patau’s Syndrome is an inherited syndrome that has an abnormality of the number of chromosomes. ... A close cousin to this disease that is also a common disorder is Down Sydrome, is alike in some aspects and does have an extra chromosome, therefore a duplication occurred even more creating a trisomy, much like Patau’s Syndrome. ...
