Biosphere- The part of the earth and its atmosphere in which living organisms exist or that is capable of supporting life. Abiotic Factor- The abiotic factors of the environment include light, temperature, and atmospheric gases. Biotic Factor- Of or having to do with life or living organisms. Population- All the organisms that constitute a specific group or occur in a specified habitat. Community- A group of plants and animals living and interacting with one another in a specific region under relatively similar environmental conditions. Ecosystem- A system formed by the interaction of a community of organisms with their physical environment. Ecology- The branch of biology concerned with the relations between organisms and their environment. Habitat- The type of environment in which an organism or group normally lives or occurs: "a marine habitat". Niche- The function or position of an organism or population within an ecological community.
