Water from tailrace of Vaiterna is directed towards Modak Sagar dam, it is directed into four channels towards Bhandup. There is a bifurcation channel provided to divert water from the canals towards lake, if any overflow occurs and water from Tansa is conveyed to Bhandup treatment plant through and canals by gravity flow.
Water from Bhatsa is received in pipeline with the help of a pickup wire at Pise (Titwala). This water is carried towards Punjarapur where about 200 MLG water can be treated. Remaining water is pumped into four channels of Tanasa Supply; treated water from Bhatsa is supplied to the region along the Eastern express highways.
PUMPING & SUPPLYING:
From above mentioned sources; water is supplied by the means of four-pipeline come to Bhandup plant. ... There are 26 reservoir tanks from which water is supplied to various zone.
