a) What happened to the number of decisions as you progressed from trial to trial. Why? In general, as I progressed from trial to trial, the number of decisions decreased. For instance, while the first trial contained the maximum number of decisions, 327, the last trial required just 29 decisions. The most severe drop occurred between the first and second trial; a decrease of over 180 decisions. However, on the graph of the second subject, Lindsay Rhymes, the number of decisions increased from trials one to three (32, 51, 93) before experiencing a general decrease thereafter (93,42,31,29,24). The increase in her first trials may have been purely by coincidence because in the first trial, the general direction of the maze is learned and as a result, in future trials, the number of decisions should decrease. Nevertheless, in general, there was a decrease in the number of decisions as my partner and I progressed.
