Bathsheba and David

My Best Teacher When I sat down to think about which of my teachers was the best, it was hard to decide on just one. My kindergarten teacher won the ‘Golden Apple Award’ the year I was in his class. My first grade teacher prayed with us before lunch everyday in a public school regardless of what the government said. My teacher for fourth through sixth grades was nominated for the ‘Disney Teacher of the Year Award.’ And my ninth grade biology teacher threw the book out the window when the school district said we had to learn about evolution. So, when I was asked to decide which one of these was my best teacher, I couldn’t decide. So, I picked the one teacher that I respect and learned the most from. That teacher, surprisingly, is not one of the teachers listed above. The teacher I have decided was the best was Mr. D.; my seventh grade science teacher. He never won a fancy award, but he stands out in my mind as making the biggest impact on my life. He is caring, witty and intelligent. He is part of the Zion Teachers Union and the Vice-President of the Zion Educational Association.
