There is no reason for marijuana to be illegal in the United States. ... But this argument does not logically apply to marijuana because marijuana is far less dangerous than some drugs which are legal, such as alcohol and tobacco. According to the Journal of the American Medical Association, no one has ever died from marijuana poisoning, while, according to the article “Alcohol poisoning: A Medical Emergency,” around 4,000 people in the United States die every year from alcohol poisoning.
