The official name of soccer is the association football (“Early Rules”). In the United States, they call the game soccer. Soccer is a slang word made from the abbreviation of assoc and has been degenerated from its original definition. ... Europeans do not associate with the word soccer.) In Europe and all the other parts of the world, soccer is called football. In Spanish speaking countries, soccer is called fútbol (“Soccer”).
