Competitive sports help keep kids healthier so they can pay attention and learn more. Also, competitive sports in grade school can be good for kids because it teaches them responsibility, teamwork, and respect. ... Competitive sports in grade school is superior for the schools and the students. Children who play sports have better grades, as apposed to those who do not play competitive sports. The kids who play sports get better grades because they have to maintain a certain grade point average in order to continue playing.
