Baseball today is the same game we played ninety years ago but with a few exceptions. The equipment we play with is different, the skill at which we play is different, but the most imortant difference is the integration of the game you take away the cultual difference that the people of other races have brought to the game. The unwritten "colorline" which segregated baseball would finally break when Jackie Robinson with the help of Branch Richey became a major league player in 1947. Orgganized baseball had been racially segregated for many years Professional African-American teams and short lived "Negro leagues" formed in the late 1800's There was interracial games played called barnstorming or exhibition games.
