In today’s society if Callicles were to be taken from Athens he would be catapulted into a world that’s very different from the one he knows. In Callicles’ time rhetoric was one of the main teachings along with the moral and ethics of proper speech etiquette. ... If Callicles were to be active in today’s politics his teachings could be used, but his lessons would have to be in a modernized version. ... The ethical and moral issues would most likely remain the same because many people still have the common morals that Callicles is aware of and is used to speaking about.

In Callicles’ strive to win; I believe he would be an exceptional candidate for the presidential election. ... Callicles’ strategy would differ depending on what type of audience he would be speaking to and what their interests were. If he was trying to persuade the younger audience’s, more humor and concern for the awareness of what young adults want in their society would be an issue of importance to Callicles. ... Also Callicles would most likely make his points on how he could put the country on a better economic status.
