Marino’s Junior year was his best throwing thirty-seven touchdown passes and being selected as an All-American. Marino had a disappointing senior year hurting his status for the NFL draft.
Marino was drafted by baseballs Kansas City Royals but declined to play football. The Miami Dolphins selected Marino the twenty-seventh pick overall. Marino was the fifth quarterback selected in the 1983 draft.
