Educational and Physical Education Objectives; Teachers role and students role: I feel that in order to have a quality phiscal education classroom the physical education teachers and the class room teachers must correspond with one another about their curricula. In elementary education, students might be able to grasps topics easier if the physical education teachers and the classroom teachers can coordinate their lessons. For instance if the class is learning about certain countries for a geography lesson in their classroom, then the physical education teacher may have the children learn a game or even a dance from that country or part of the world that they are studying. Physical education can also help students learn to read and write better as well. ... Besides the two areas of learning interacting with one another, it is important in physical education for the students to be able to meet the national and state standards for their grade level. ...
I feel that in order to be a quality physical educator these goals must be met since we are trying to teach students how to maintain a healthy lifestyle. ...
Curriculum Content: After attending a school district whose physical education, was more a sports based program instead of a movement concept oriented program, I feel that I would like to teach more of a sports based curriculum. I believe once the students are in a high school physical education program, they have learned all of the movement concepts that they would need to know in order to particpate in a game and also maintain an active lifestyle for their life.
