It was hot, sandy, and I was scared. ... Even though I was nervous, I had faith in my team that we would do great. ... It was almost time to play. ... Now it was time to play ball!
I was the catcher on the team. I had to put on all the equipment. ... The third batter came up and on the first pitch the player from first tried to steal second base but I noticed, and threw the ball to second baseman. ... Now we were in the top of the fifth inning and I was playing second base because it got too hot in the equipment I had on. ... I was nervous because my shoulder had started to hurt. (I have an injured shoulder from when I was on the swim team). The first pitch came and I struck out. ... On the third pitch I hit a homerun. ... Now I knew what they were going to do. ... What I did was act like I threw it to first but I tagged the third base player.
