Northern Iowa scored sixteen unanswered fourth-quarter points Saturday to beat Illinois State, 16-7, at Normal, Ill. In four straight wins, the Panthers (4-1) have outscored opponents, 91-14, in the second half. They hope the lopsided trend continues at 4:05 p.m. Saturday against Indiana State (3-3) at the UNI-Dome. "If there was a secret, we'd bottle it," coach Mark Farley said of the late-game success. "There's a sense on our football team that the third and the fourth quarter is our time to make a move." Northern Iowa's finishing strength hinges on a grinding running game, which churned out 209 yards in Saturday's second half.
