By 1973, the first email program was developed and the network was officially dubbed the “Internet”. Also the Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) had been created and utilized, which we still use today. ... “IP” works by also creating a set of rules for the data, except rather than telling the computer how the data is transferred, it tells it how the data is chopped up, and also gives every computer linked to the internet a unique code called an IP address, which is the path to a computer and is inputted whenever sending data to a computer.
