Artificial Intelligence is a broad subject which covers many areas and therefore it would be simply impossible to describe and discuss the whole spectrum.
For this assignment I have chosen to concentrate on one particular area within this broad subject, that of artificial intelligence with the medical field. ... This includes within the medical world with the hope that artificial intelligence would become the new doctors and would not only assist but surpass clinicians with diagnosis and other aspects such as operations.
General Explanation
‘Expert systems’ is the phrase commonly used to define many various aspects of artificial intelligence, but within medicinal terminology it is used more to provide and justify answers to problems with patients’ care based on past evidence. ... Upon this assumption and using the information held in these databases we can build artificial intelligence systems with which we can study diagnosis, treatment and aftercare. This can also include the research into how well artificial intelligence has been used in patient care in the past, for example, it can be studied to see how accurate a prediction was made on a patient’s symptoms and updated as explained later. ... This is the basic explanation but by using artificial intelligence supports this system by allowing the doctor not to have to rely on his own memory.
