It appears that over recent years the sport of darts has lost much of its publicity losing to mainstream sports such as football and tennis. Historically darts are part of our heritage and culture owing to the fact that we created the game in the middle ages. The idea supposedly came, according to folklore, from archery to compensate for cold winter nights when archers were unable to practice their skills outside. Among other things it is sociable as hundreds of pubs around the land have a dartboard hung up for pub goers to use and enjoy. This report seeks to inform the public of the beauty of the game, how it is played and promote playing of the sport by showing why darts are not just for fat, beer drinking fifty year olds. In doing so I am confident I can make darts as popular as it was hundreds of years ago if not more so.
