Digital watermarking is the process that embeds data called a watermark into a multimedia object, such that watermark can be detected or extracted later to make an assertion about the object. Watermark is as commonly known fighting piracy, we focus in this thesis not on copyright protection, but information hiding, which is content-related annotations for the image. ... The media which we use to embed the information are some end-user specified objects in cartoon images. The algorithm which is introduced in this thesis, is firstly to apply Laplacian edge detection, then use flood-filling technique to separate the background and the object, last to get contour edges, which will be used as the boundary of the object.
