Systems Solution for Inventory Control and Inbound Shipments Recently, UPS upgraded their Delivery Link system. Since it was introduced to their customers few years back, this system has been a major tool for providing a print copy of all UPS delivery data for a certain receiver daily. Patrick Air Force Base has been using this system for logging in the large amount of packages received every day from UPS for a number of years. The outdated Delivery Link system consisted of a printer and a device called a print buffer that the UPS driver connected to the DIAD board. The driver scanned all the inbound packages that were delivered to the Patrick Air Force Base receiving department every day. After scanning these packages, the driver connected the DIAD board with the print buffer and a list of all the packages inbound would print from the printer. UPS provided the print buffer and the air force base provided the printer.
