Robotics: Embrace the Future
Abstract
The following is a summary of selected works I have completed throughout the semester with a focus on peoples’ fear of robots and where I think the future of robotics is headed. Through the literature, articles and web sites referenced, plus the hand-on work I have completed this semester, I intend to show that humanity must embrace the inevitable future or it will surely destroy us. ... Throughout this semester, I have learned a great deal about robotics. ... It has been tough to form a clear view of where the industry has been, where it stands now, and where it is going in the future. It is really anyone’s guess what the future of robotics is, but an educated opinion is better than an uneducated one. In this paper, I plan to demonstrate the research I have done during the semester, the hands-on work I have completed, and I will attempt to give my thoughts on the future of robotics.
