The issue I will be analysing is violence in video games and the effect violent games have on younger audiences. I will be looking into the games that have been put onto the market and why the media has been troubled by their content. There is the matter of whether video games are worse than violent movies or explicit lyrics in songs and if one these are more accessible than the others. The main subjects that I will address are: Are violent video games another phase for younger children or will the public always persecute the topic? Do violent video games have an effect on children? If yes, do children become violent because they play violent video games? Are parents to blame for children playing violent video games? ...

Violence in video games has been a topic of growing concern over the past twenty-five years. It first began in the early 1980’s when games such as “Pack-Man” and “Wonderboy” started raising people’s eyebrows and they started asking each other “should children be exposed to this? ...
