Virtual Society You are Garner Trablestone, a level three Barbarian in the world of Maraizot. On a quest for the great Stones of Aumon, you decide to take a short cut through the Libran Forest. You find that your adventure is short-lived when you come across a level twelve troll. You engage in battle with the troll, unfortunately you are a low-leveled barbarian and the troll ends up getting the best of you. If this scenario sounds unbelievable, that’s because it is. The events that have taken place could only have taken place in one realm; the realm of video games. So many people are allowing themselves to be sucked into this type of scenario and eventually it grows into an addiction. Not only children, but also adults, have become so absorbed in today’s video games that they seem to forget about their day-to-day routines. Video games are literally beginning to run our lives. Video games have come a long way from the days of the old Atari 2600 systems.
